Overview
Business Continuity Management or BCM is a mobile application that was developed by our team. It serves as a guide to achieve business resiliency during operational disruptions. It covers all the information about the processes and emergency contact numbers to ensure that the personnel and assets are protected and are able to function quickly in the event of a disaster.

Project Summary

Problem

Failure to establish the plan could lead to many potential risks that the company may face if there's no definite process to execute when major disruption occurs. There could be financial loss, injury or death, lost productivity and many more.
My role
This project was assigned to me since I was the only designer in the team at that time alongside the two coworkers. I was responsible for designing the UI and UX. I think this was the last project that I had to work on before I left. The request came from another department of UNILAB and they wanted us to build an application to be installed internally on all employees' mobile phone. I also did the initial testing, ensuring that the design works well on all devices.
Sketches and userflow
As the early stages of my design journey, I had managed to come up with the flow of how the entire application should function provided with the system requirements specification by the Business Analyst, my teammate. We were practicing waterfall development method back then. So there ware countless times where I had to repeat and do different versions of screenflows so we could determine which works best usability-wise. So the image below is just one of the flows I made as part of the presentation.

Wireframes
It took me a day or two to finalize the structure with the help of my team members. I needed to hear their opinions about the things to know if we were all on the same page.
Mockups
Fortunately, the Product Owner and our team had agreed upon my outputs. It took me a while to finish all the screen mockups because I had to design everything from scratch. And that consists of colors, iconography, and typography, and stuff. So it was quite challenging on my part. Nevertheless, I was able to deliver on time.

Prototype
The most important feature of this application is that it allows you to locate and call the nearest hospitals in case of emergency. There are also evacuations, police, and fire stations that you can contact when any emergency situation you can no longer be handled. Overall, I had enjoyed doing clickable prototypes for this project. It felt nice to design something that could save lives in the future. The video below shows the quick demo of the application.
